Randy Moss Back In The NFL

This is an interesting off-season in the NFL simply because of Peyton Manning. Plenty of franchises are trying to lure him to play for their respective franchises. One guy who I’d hope he would be throwing the ball to this year is Randy Moss. Moss retired after a very disappointing 2010 campaign in which we saw Moss play with three different franchises in one season. Randy Moss though decided to come out of retirement because he simply wanted to just “play some football” and I’m excited about it. After working out with the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, Moss signed a one year deal with the team. I like this pickup for the 49ers because Moss can stretch the field and be the top option for the team. Moss is an all-time great talent with a spot in Canton when he officially calls it a career. I sure hope the 2012 NFL season brings better fortune to Moss rather than that of the last time we saw him.

Who is your favorite to win it all?

Bieber’s B-Day & Snooki’s Pregnant?

Hey there everyone I’m back with my take on a couple of things that happened in the past week or so. First, Justin Bieber has turned 18. He is officially legal for those of you out there who have been waiting with excitement. Justin celebrated his 18th birthday last week which in many of his fans eyes is a very big deal. Justin celebrated with a party over the weekend in which his lady, Selena flew from Florida to Los Angeles to surprise him. Bieber was a guest on the Ellen show on his birthday and was surprised with a car (and not just any car) by Scooter Braun. I am sure Justin has received so much more for his birthday than just this car and the extravagant party.

In other news from around the entertainment world, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is apparently pregnant despite denying prior rumors about a month ago. We’ll see how this is factored into her spinoff series with Jenni “JWoww” Farley because it must somehow be a major storyline at some point. I do extend my congratulations to Snooki though. Parenthood is a beautiful thing. I also extend some congratulations to Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa as the latter just announced her pregnancy this week. Nick Lachey has recently been a guest co-host on Live with Kelly.

Interview w/ Roy Jones Jr.

I had the honor of interviewing one of the greatest boxing talents of all-time

Congratulations on your recent victory over Max Alexander. How long does it normally take you to heal up after a fight?

Week

At this stage of your career, can you see yourself moving down a weight class or two?

No, only of great opportunity and budget is superb.

Outside of boxing you have been involved in tv, music, and film. Will we see you continue any of these ventures?

Would love to

How do you feel about the state of boxing?

It’s in horrible distress

When people ask why is Roy Jones Jr still boxing, what do you say to those critics?

Because I have one title that has eluded me an I want to try and get that title before I retire.

There was a rumored potential battle between you and Bobby Gunn, that fell through as Gunn is scheduled to fight James Toney. Who do you want to fight next?

I can care less. I don’t pick names, I like to fight for the fans and I would chose any cruiser weight champ

Who is a boxer today that possesses some of the qualities that made you such a great fighter?

Andre Ward

If you had the opportunity to fight anyone past or present in any weight class, who would you choose?

Sugar Ray Robinson

Why should inner city kids start choose to box rather than play basketball and football?

Boxing is more closely related to life than any other sport. Wouldn’t say they should chose over basketball or football, but I don’t see anything wrong with trying. With boxing it teaches you in life if you get knocked down, you need to get back up

Everyone knows who you are as a boxer, but Who is Roy Jones Jr the man?

A philosophical guy that is very passionate and considerate about his actions.

Thanks for your time. Any last comments for your fans, supporters, naysayers?

Fans: Thanks for the support you have given me throughout the years.

Supporters: thanks for being behind me, you give me the push to get up and go when days I don’t feel it.

Naysayers: I’m sorry you feel the way you do. The ones that are concerned, thanks for your concern. The ones that are just a naysayer go do something positive in your life, so that someone can be a naysayer about you.

NBA All-Star 2012 Blowout Pt.3

The final day for my NBA All-Star preview is here and on Sunday we shall see a very entertaining game. It is hard to argue the chemistry that Lebron, Bosh, and Wade have but I predict that the west will win simply because of the point guard play of Chris Paul and Steve Nash. I’d hope that Kobe Bryant would be MVP if the West wins the game but Kevin Durant may end up with that honor.

East Roster

Carmelo Anthony, Lebron James, Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh, Luol Deng, Roy Hibbert, Andre Iguodala, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo

West Roster

Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Andrew Bynum, Lamarcus Aldridge, Marc Gasol, Kevin Love, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Tony Parker, Russell Westbrook

NBA All-Star 2012 Blowout Pt.2

I’m back again with more of a preview of the NBA All-Star Weekend down in Orlando this weekend. Yesterday I talked about the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, and today will be about the multiple events happening on Saturday Night. These events include Shooting Stars, Skills Challenge, Three Point Contest, and the Slam Dunk Contest to finish the night off.

Haier Shooting Stars Challenge

Team Orlando: Current Magics  Jameer Nelson, WNBA All-Star Marie Ferdinand-Harris; and former Magic great Dennis Scott

Team Atlanta: Current Atlanta Hawks star Joe Johnson, WNBA star Lindsey Harding, current NBA Tv analyst Steve Smith,

Team New York: Current guard Landry Fields, Liberty’s Cappie Pondexter, former Knicks perennial shooter, Allan Houston,

Team Texas Houston Rockets’ Chandler ParsonsSophia Young, and 2x NBA champion  Kenny Smith

Team New York looks good here especially when Joe Johnson will not be participating. His replacement should be announced soon.

Taco Bell’s Skills Challenge

*Stephen Curry  Kyrie Irving  Tony Parker  John Wall  Russell Westbrook  and Deron Williams will participate in the Skills Challenge.

*Defending champion Stephen Curry is injured and will not compete. His replacement will be announced soon. I hope Jeremy Lin is the replacement. If not then I see Deron Williams winning.

Footlocker Three Point Shootout

Reigning champion James Jones, Kevin Love, Ryan Anderson, Anthony Morrow, Mario Chalmers, and Kevin Durant will compete.

I’m expecting Durant to win this.

Sprite Slam Dunk Contest

Chase Budinger, Paul George, Jeremy Evans, and Derrick Williams.

The jury is out on this one. My choice is Jeremy Evans.

So there we have it, tomorrow I will reveal my predictions for the main course, the All-Star game.
