The night after WrestleMania can be the birth of something new for not only the wrestlers, but also the fans. Last year we saw the craze of the “yes” chants develop. This year not only did we see the growing chants and the Fandango theme song get much notoriety, we also saw Dolph Ziggler cash in his Money in the Bank contract. It was about time and the crowd went absolutely nuts. This was also the influence of the WrestleMania crowd and hasn’t been duplicated by any other United States venues. The reaction above from the fans showed the true value of Dolph even though he is booked as a heel. One word: Goosebumps.

Selena Gomez: Come And Get It
Selena Gomez recently released her single “Come and Get it” to mixed reviews due to the intention behind the song and what it truly means. Her performance at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards also had mixed reviews. I’m interested to hear the rest of the album.
Catching Fire
The teaser trailer for Catching Fire has recently been released. The sequel to The Hunger Games is expected to do big business come November 23rd of this year. What do you think of the teaser?
Blended News
I’ve been nursing an injury albeit small but hopefully does not require any surgery which is why I won’t be blogging too often until things are settled. I wanted to leave a few thoughts on some news that happened during the month of July:
Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick Welcomes Baby Girl Penelope Scotland
Congratulations to the couple for welcoming their second child to the world.
Kardashian Sisters Want Spin-Off
Kendall and Kylie would like their own spin-off show which is something that I believe will be granted to them in a few years but just not now. As long as there is a demand for the Kardashian/Jenner family, these two will be in the spotlight. With Kourtney having her baby, Kim’s romance with Kanye, and Lamar Odom’s potential resurgence with the Los Angeles Clippers, there will be a ton of ammo for future shows.
Steven Tyler & JLo Leave Idol/ Mariah Carey Joins
Neither of these judges lasted long unlike Randy Jackson who has been a judge since the show’s inception. Though the paychecks were huge, Steven recently said that Idol wasn’t his “cup of tea”. Jennifer Lopez also credited Tyler’s absence as one of the reasons she was leaving the show. Steven Tyler went back to work with his fellow Aerosmith band-mates while JLo is currently on tour. The biggest news is that Mariah Carey has confirmed that she will be a judge on the upcoming season of American Idol. Carey is a legendary vocalist who was showing off her musical talent to the world at a time when Jlo was just a fly girl. Carey is a great choice has a judge and has been around for a little over two decades. She’ll bring something unique to the show.
Frank Ocean
“4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide”. I don’t have any secrets I need to keep anymore. I feel like a free man.”
I want to commend Frank Ocean for doing something that is tough to do in the music industry especially in the hip-hop r&b culture. It took guts to tell this story to his fans and naysayers all over. He now feels free and can focus on the art that people loved him for and not have to feel like he is holding a secret that would have only became a burden for him.
Will There Be A Rush Hour 4?
I was just thinking about Rush Hour 3 and how I felt that movie was a total fail compared to the first two installments. Some on Twitter may think that I was crazy but someone close to the franchise actually agreed with me. Arthur Sarkissian, the producer of all of the Rush Hour films had something to say about the third installment which came out in 2007.
“I personally was not happy with the third one. I thought 1 and 2 were very good. I think 3 got out of hand a little bit”.
Though Jackie Chan stated that he was done with the actions movies back in May, I think if he decides to come back for the fourth one it will be the Rush Hour film that we deserve that will officially close Chan and Chris Tucker’s chapter with the franchise. That is only if it is done correctly. Arthur Sarkissian is also in favor of bringing in a few new characters to freshen up the franchise.
Serena Wins Singles/Doubles
That’s right. Serena Williams has won the fourteenth major of her career by defeating Agnieszka Radwanska from Poland in the singles title. Just hours later her and Venus won the doubles title. Today symbolized the greatness of the William sisters. Serena battled it out in a tough three sets against Radwanska. Neither of the Williams sisters showed any signs of being bothered by the lack of them not competing together on the same team for over two years, Venus’s early exit in the singles competitions, or Serena’s championship match just hours earlier. Venus and Serena showed everyone why they are two of the all-time greatest female tennis players. Together they have thirteen Grand Slam doubles titles. Up next for both are the Olympics where they hope to obtain a gold medal and the U.S. Open soon thereafter.
Tiger Woods Gets Another One
Tiger Woods has yet another victory. Tiger’s victory at the AT&T National this past weekend gives him just three for the season but things are looking up for Mr. Woods. What’s more surprising than Tiger winning, and his consistent ratings increase for networks is the fact that he’ll be taking part in “The Greenbrier Classic” this week. Hopefully Tiger continues to win on the golf course and brings that competitive nature back to the sport of golf because he brings publicity, ratings, and hope to the sport in a way that no other athlete can do for their respective sport.
