Interview w/ Carla Facciolo

You know her from one of Vh1’s hit reality t.v. shows “MobWives”. That’s right, I recently had the chance to talk to Carla Facciolo about her battles with Renee, not going through with her alleged divorce, and what she hopes for the new year. When the question arose about Carla not going through with the divorce, she talked about all of the unnecessary work they would have to go through just to show that she and Joseph weren’t ‘together” again. Carla also talked about how difficult it was to communicate with Joseph about the situation while he was behind bars due to time limits and constraints.

Did you do anything for the holidays?

“Nothing special, same for holidays, when the family comes over. Fish night for Christmas Eve. Nothing different.”

What was it like growing up?

“A good childhood with my family. It wasn’t like I was in the mix of anything crazy. I wasn’t involved in anything that went on with the mob.” I didn’t know anything that went on, maybe my uncle but not me.”

What do you say to those who say that you are violating the mafia code by doing a reality t.v. show?

“I think they’re crazy because I do not speak of anything really with the mafia. Everybody on the show speaks about what goes on in their life.  I speak about my life.”

Was there anything about season 1 of Mob Wives that made you think twice about doing a reality t.v. show?

“I have my little group of friends who know my business. I’m pretty quiet.”  Im not one to go and put my business out all over. No one didn’t know too much about me. That made think “I don’t know if I should do this”.

I’m glad you did this, haha I really enjoy the show.

“It’s really a reality show because these things are really happening.  These are things that go on in our lives. When husbands go away and you are left home being a single mother, this is what really happens.”

Was is it about Renee that gets under your skin?

“That mouth of hers” She thinks that if she screams louder that makes her tougher. I just don’t like to constantly scream and yelling.”

Season 2 will see introduction of two new cast members, Big Ang and Ramona. Did you have any previous ties to them and how do you feel about two new cast members being added?

“Originally I come from Brooklyn. I’ve known Big Ang for years. Big Ang is from Brooklyn. Ramona I did not know before the show. Big Ang has a big heart. She is a realy nice person.  She doesn’t like all of the drama. The other one is sort of like a troublemaker. You’ll see on the show.”

Now that the family is back together, is everything good?

“He’s home now but we’re still not a family. We’ll go see a movie together with the kids but we’re not together like that, like husband and wife and wife again.”

How do your kids feel about being on screen?

Sometimes they don’t want to film. You know what they do like?  They like to see themselves on tv once in awhile.”

Why do you think men watch the show?

“Men watch the show, especially men who have been through this with their wives. I think the show hits them at home.”

Will season 2 show more of the business side of these women or will it just be all drama?

“Well, I mean I can not deal with the drama. When women gets together there is always something. There are a lot of business adventures. Everything with Renee is drama drama drama.. There is something always going on around Renee.”

Do you ever come into contact with people who watch the show, including haters of the show?

“People that I meet loved the show. I haven’t came into contact with any people who hate the show.”

Do you think that your show depicts a more realistic lifestyle as opposed to other shows, such as the Housewives series?

“I think my show is definitely the realest reality show. I feel like our show is real because these are real things going on in our lives. People think that we make things up.”

What do you have to say to your fans who have seen your squabbles with Renee and wonder what is really going on between you?

“If you hung out with Renee, you’re going to see what kind of girl she is. I’ve known her for a long time. I like Renee but she can get under your skin. She can push you to a point where you can explode.”

Any New Years resolutions?

“I was thinking about that. It’s all about making sure that my kids are happy in life. To do something to make something out of my life and to get away from all that catty drama.”

Interview w/ Tinashe

The young artist Tinashe joins Blended Entertainment for an interview.

How did you get your start in the music industry?

I always knew that I wanted to be a singer, for as long as I can remember. Professional acting and dancing occupied my time as a kid and when I was 14 I joined a girl group called the Stunners. We were together for four years, had a single ft the New Boyz, and toured with Justin Bieber… but as of last fall we all kind of felt like it was time for us all to branch out and move on to solo endeavors.

There are many interested in knowing your cultural background, can you let our readers know?

My mother is a mixture of Danish, norwegian Irish etc and my father is from Zimbabwe. My name is Shona– the native language– meaning “God is With us”

What went into your decision to branch off into becoming a solo artist?

It was a mutual decision amongst the entire group to end– but I always had had plans of a solo career anyways, so I was excited for the opportunity!

In one of your Ask Tinashe videos, you  mentioned being bullied. How has that impacted your life and what advice would you give to the those who may possibly be going through something like that?

Growing up i was always a straight -A student with lots of friends. As soon as the bullying started, that all changed. The entire student body, ur seemed, had alienated me. It really made me hate going to school and everything about it, including my studies. I completely stopped trying in class and even failed a couple. The next year, i tested out of school completely. I would tell anyone else being bullied in school to remember that it’s only temporary and no matter how sad it makes you or how bad it seems, trust that that particular season in your life will pass you by in a blink of an eye, as all do.

You’ve covered tracks from some of today’s top artists. One in particular that caught my eye was the video for”How to Love”. Was there any controversy?

Not at all! Everyone’s been really supportive of all of my work. My fans are so sweet.

If you could work with any artist, who would it be?

Hmm..as of today I’d say – the weeknd.

What can you tell fans about your debut album?

It will be everything they ever imagined.. but way more.

What’s an interesting fact that we’ve yet to learn about you?

I don’t think people know that I paint…and I’m good at it! ha

Where do you see yourself as an artist 5 years from now?

Nominated for 12 Grammys!

Is there anything you’d like to tell your fans and people who will be exposed to you for the first time?

I’d like to first thank my wonderful TeamTinashe for all of their unconditional love, and secondly, I want everyone to keep checking out TinasheNow.com for new material..I’m always working, writing, performing, in the studio…so there’s always new material to check out.

Interview w/ Stefanie Scott

She’s a talented young actress on the hit Disney series A.N.T Farm, and she took the time to let Blended Entertainment into her busy life.

You started acting at a very young age, what do you remember about your first role?

My VERY first role was playing Tessie in a local production of Annie. I just remember how much fun it was to perform in front of a live audience and all of us because very close as a cast.

How did you know that you wanted to be an entertainer?

It just felt “right”

You play a character on a very popular t.v series, what was the audition process like?

We were seen in a first audition reading the part and they call you back if they like what they see. It continues from there until near the end they do a mix and match with the other characters on the show to make sure the characters have ‘chemistry” and then you wait hoping they pick you!

What do you like about playing Lexi?

Lexi is a more complicated character than most people think.  I think she has a good heart underneath it all but just sometimes has a hard time showing that underneath her competitive nature.

What’s a typical day like on the set of A.N.T. Farm?

We arrive on set at 7:30am for school before we start rehearsal.  We rehearse Mon, Tues, Wed and then start filming on Thursday and then we have a live audience on Friday for the rest of the scenes so it is a full week with school every morning before we start work.

You recently released a single title, The Girl I Used To Know, will we see more music from you in the future?

I HOPE SO!  I love music and songwriting – so Yes!

You are starring in Frenemies,a Disney Channel Original Movie. What is the movie about and how was it on set filming?

It is three story lines about friends and enemies and how sometimes they can be the same.  We filmed in Canada and it was awesome!  I had a great time with Bella, Zendaya, Mary and Nick and of course the dog!

My family is everything to me. My parents raised me to be who i am today. Theyve kept me level headed over the years. My litte brothers & sister are what push me to succeed even more at whatever i do.

Which came first, the movie or the music aspirations?

Both around the same time. But movies kicked off 1st.

Many people may recognize you from the beloved movie Holes, was that your first movie role? Did this have a positive effect on your career?

Holes was like my 3rd. But it was my BREAKOUT role. Of course. Till today it has such a following, it has families gathering around the TV to watch it. Ill always be known as ZERO and im cool with that.

You released a mixtape this year. Can you tell us about it?

Yeah The Next Episode mixtape was just jam packed with all type of music that i wanted to exhibit. It was a full year since i released my very first mixtape so i wanted to show the growth lyrically. It still gets great responses. Its some classic songs on that mixtape.

Someone who you have collaborated with many times in music and even in films is the artist Bow Wow. How was that experience?

Bow is like my big brother for real. We’ve been on tours, shot movies, played video games, vacationed, recorded songs. We’ve done it all and thats a friendship within this industry that ive made that will never get faulted. thats always gonna be big bro.

Who were your inspirations growing up?

Will Smith. Michael Jackson, Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik.

You will be in the upcoming film, Boogie Town. Can you tell us a little about the film?

Interview w All Star Weekend

Can you give us an introduction about yourselves?

We’re Allstar Weekend. We grew up in a suburb of San Diego, California called Poway. We’ve been friends and bandmates for many years. Writing and performing are our two passions. We love our fans.

Who are some of your musical influences?

We all come from Different musical backgrounds so we have a wide range of influences: Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Blink-182, R. Kelly, James Browne, Daft Punk.

Are there any current artists whom you would like to collaborate with?

We’re going on tour with Selena Gomez this summer and would love to do a collaboration with her. Bruce Springsteen or Shania Twain would be a dream-come-true.

What motivates you guys as a band?

This is our dream- we want to continue living it. Failure and success are both fuel for us to work even harder. Our fans inspire us, too. We create a great community with them- we don’t want to let them down.

What are some of your favorite things to do when not recording or performing?

We read, hang out, and go out to eat. We love going out to eat.

You guys are going on tour this summer. Can you talk about who you are touring with and when it will begin?

We start our tour with Selena Gomez in late July. We are so excited- this will be the biggest tour we’ve been on to date.

Your new album is coming out soon. Can you talk about what fans should expect from this album?
I really think our fans are going to like this new album.  I think it’s what they want to hear from, us but it may also surprise them- in a good way. The last record  had a lot of songs we wrote when we were really young. This record is all new material that was written based off of our current lives and experiences. The sound, vibe, lyrics are all very “us.”
Do any of you take part in any rituals before you perform?
We all have weird rituals.  I like to take off all of my clothing down to my boxers, then stretch and do vocal warm-ups. When I get dressed again, I feel like I’m getting ready for something important(Zach). Cameron likes to take a nap or disappear and make us all worry that he’ll forget he’s going on stage in a minute.  Michael likes to dance around to R&B, preferably while looking in a mirror. Nathan does a lot of headstands.
What goals do you hope ASW achieves within the next year? 5 years?
We want to be able to keep evolving as a band. If we can continue to make records, tour, and meet new fans, we’d be very satisfied.
I want to thank you for your time. Are there any last words or thoughts that you would like to say to all your fans out there?
We’re so excited to release this new album. We’ve worked really hard on it. Please come see us on tour with Selena and buy our new album “All The Way” when it comes out in September
