5TH ANNUAL FASHION & FOOTBALL NFL DRAFT GALA Presented by EREDI PISANO and AUDI of America.

The 2012 NFL Draft concluded this past weekend. It is a yearly spectacle to watch if you’re a football fan. I make it a yearly tradition to do my fair share of scouting and mock drafts. One of the exciting aspects of the draft other than getting drafted by a professional sports team happens to be some of the lavish events that take place. The 5th Annual Fashion & Football NFL Draft Gala just so happened to be one of  these events you couldn’t miss. It all took place on April 24, 2012 at Audi Forum in New York City. All of the athletes and celebs involved modeled outfits by Italian clothing company, Eredi Pisano. I will be looking forward to the 6th Annual  Fashion & Football NFL Draft Gala.

Ramses Barden-NY Giants

The Fashion Reporter, online magazine for all things fashion, and parent company, Fashion and Football, produced an unforgettable fashion show during NFL Draft Week. Professional as well as college football players including Justin Tryon (NY Giants), Ramses Barden (NY Giants), Aaron Maybin (NY Jets), Matthew Rice (NFL vet), Josh Norman (Top 10 NFL Draft candidate), Kashif Moore (UCONN Draft Candidate), Evan Rodriguez ( Temple NFL Draft Candidate), fashion socialite Karim Ramos and notable fashion editors, all modeled suits by Eredi Pisano, an Italian clothing company specializing in fine garments as well as made to measure suits. “We are excited about our partnership with Fashion and Football and look forward to this highly anticipated annual event”, says Kenny Frimpong, Brand and Lifestyle Consultant at Eredi Pisano. The Grammy Award winning stylist, Eric Santiago along with The Glam Squad who outfitted participating players in some of the most impressive pieces from Pisano’s collection including wool suits done with suede elbow patches to tomato red oxford style shoes along with an array of vivid roped belts done in Italian leather finished off with silk pocket squares and must-have ties. In addition, Monster Cable unveiled their all-new, Diamond Tear Headphones during the runway portion of the event. Professional NFL players and college athletes paired the very stunning diamond headphones with which provides for the ideal finishing touch for a luxurious look. The world class headphones offering the sound of clarity with diamonds, will officially be announced this July.

Audi Forum provided the perfect space for this annual event in showcasing their line of exciting automobiles from the R8, A8, A7 and A6 models. Guests enjoyed home-style Italian lasagna and mozzarella salad provided by Contornos Restaurant located in midtown Manhattan offering a five-star menu that embodies an Italian Sunday family dinner. In addition, Peroni Nastro Azzurro – the world’s number one premium Italian beer – offered crisp, stylish, Italian refreshments as well as branded glassware for guests to take home. Specialty cocktails will were provided by CÎROC Ultra Premium vodka – one of the only vodkas made from fine French grapes. Custom cocktails were created to fit the event’s theme from the CÎROC Diddy, CÎROC Red Berry Glam, CÎROC Coco Loso, and CÎROC Peach Bellini. In essence, a taste of Italy met Football Game Day in a stylish, yet unconventional manner in one of the fashion capitals of the world.

Dark Knight Rises Latest Trailer

I had to do this just because I am a fan of the franchise. Despite being in a tough battle with research projects and preparations for finals, a new promo for the Dark Knight Rises released. Now I will go see the Avengers and some of the other blockbuster films but this movie from just the psychology alone should be the number one film of the year. That’s right, we are only at the very beginning of May and I have already made a prediction. I’m looking forward to this!

Artist Spotlight -“Sahyba”

As you know here at Blended Entertainment, I want to serve as a platform for anyone who is passionate and committed to entertaining. So today I want to take some time and spotlight a young artist on the rise:

Sahyba born and raised in Los Angeles, California is of Indian decent. She comes from a family of talented musicians, starting with her grandfather, father and brother. By the age of 5, Sahyba knew she was destined to sing and dance, she would often be asked to sing at weddings, charity events and cultural festivals. Sahyba continued to sing traditional Bollywood music while playing the Indian instrument the Harmonium. Her passion for music soared and she followed her heart and soon began singing to thebeats and rhythms of POP and R&B.

Sahyba stands out, with her uniqueness of talents, diversity and enrichment of languages, speaking and singing in four different languages – Spanish, Hindi, Punjabi and English. Sahyba’s brother Prince Saheb, a music producer, being proud of his sisters beautiful voice and talent introduced her to friend George Lemore and Ray J (singer, songwriter, record producer and actor) of Vh1’s hit show, “For The Love Of Ray J”, known for dynamic single “Wait A Minute,” and single double platinum, “Sexy

Can I” and founder of Knockout Entertainment. Sahyba sang a tune for him and he was instantly captivated and amazed with the energy of her voice. From that moment on he was convinced she is young super star ready to blossom. From that moment on, doors opened for Sahyba leading her into the hands of Ray J’s independent record label

Show some love to this young artist. She definitely has a great voice. When listening to her music I had no idea that she was only 15 years of age. She actually just celebrated her 16th birthday yesterday so go show her some birthday love and do not forget to listen to her record, “Marco Polo” which you can find immediately below.

Who Will Knock the Hunger Games from the Top Spot?

The Hunger Games has been number one at the box office for four weeks straight but it seems likely that will come to an end this week with the premieres of Nicholas Spar’s The Lucky One and Steve Harvey’s Think Like A Man. With all of the advertising for Think Like A Man starring Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union, and many other known actors, it seems as though this will be the film to knock off The Hunger Games. Even though the former is only appearing in just over 2,000 theaters, the big name of Kevin Hart is sure going to draw people of all nationalities to see the predominantly black cast. Though it will be the end of the The Hunger Games’ run at the number 1 spot, fans should be ecstatic to know that the film has already grossed more than 540 million and counting.

Mr. and Mrs. Pitt

I know it has been a bit since my last post but I must blog about this. It’s official. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are engaged to be married. Brad proposed to Angelina just over a week ago. The couple has been together for about seven years now of course after working on the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith(check post title for reference). With six children(3 adopted) lets hope that their unity continues to last. So congratulations to Brad and Angelina.
