One thing I love are movies based off comic books, and this time it is chapter 3 in the “let’s see who is the best version of Spider-Man”. The young actor, Tom Holland will be the third actor to portray our favorite webslinger in the past 10 years. This incarnation of Spider-Man is sure to be the best one yet. This film will include other heroes such as Iron Man and Ant-Man. Spider-Man: Homecoming is the webslinger’s first feature film since being tied into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Make sure to check it out in theaters on July 7.

Celebrating Degrassi: Soma Bhatia
Soma Bhatia portrays Goldi Nahir on Degrassi. Check out our chat with her as we continue to celebrate Degrassi.
You recently just turned 18 so hope you had an amazing 18th birthday! How did you celebrate your birthday?
I did have an amazing birthday! My friend from acting class and I have close birthdays so we celebrated together. We invited all the Degrassi cast and all our acting class friends for sushi.
What similarities if any do you have with Goldi?
We both are very passionate people. Goldi sets a goal in her mind and often achieves it. I’m very much a go-getter like her.
What’s it like being a part of such a legendary franchise?
It’s a dream come true for me because I grew up watching this show, and so did my mom! Degrassi was a part of my childhood and its special knowing that can help carry this legacy.
If you could have a super power what would it be?
To be able to eat without getting full or being unhealthy and to make junk food healthy. I just love food!
What’s your biggest fear?
My biggest fear is losing people I love.
What would be a good theme song for your life?
The song “Ride” by Lana Del Rey. Well, any Lana song, I’m a huge fan.
What can we expect from the upcoming new episodes?
A lot more on self discovery. That’s what high school is all about. Finding your true self and being happy with it.
Celebrating Degrassi: Chelsea Clark
Season 2 of Degrassi: Next Class premiered on Netflix just a few weeks ago. In honor of my love for the iconic hit Canadian series, I decided to reach out to some of the cast. The first cast member is Chelsea Clark. She plays the lovely and confident yet manipulative Esme Song. Check out our little chat.
So you just finished up high school this year and that included the big prom. How was prom?
Prom was super great! It was a nice intimate venue and everyone really got together and looked great as our one last hurrah.
Esme was such a negative influence on Miles but a really interesting character. What should we expect from Esme moving forward?
We can expect to see sides of her that are really different than the first two seasons. Her interactions with the other characters will be most interesting.
Question from Twitter user @DegrassiFeels: If you could write an episode about your character, what would you make your character do?
I would want to write a scene of her interacting with her family or no family we don’t know! Also crazy stunts would be AWESOME (Scuba diving, bungee jumping, the whole shebang.
If you could swap places with any of the characters that attend Degrassi, who would you swap with?
I’d swap with any of the Hollingsworth family members. They’re great characters AND get a pool!
If you could have a super power what would it be?
Breathe underwater
What’s one of your biggest/weirdest fears?
I’m terrified of rodents
What would be a good theme song for your life?
I don’t care if it doesn’t fit but I’d love for it to be the 6teen theme song
Degrassi: Next Class is streaming on Netflix or check your local listings. You can also catch previous installments from Degrassi’s 30+ year history through various media. It will be worth your investment.
10-23-16
To my loyal readers. I am back! I will continue to do what I do best and that is bring you great interviews. 10-23-16 will leave millions of people speechless. If you’re not sure what I am referring to, just check out the trailer below that was revealed at the San Diego Comic Con.
Interview w/ Joshua Rush
At just the age of 14, Joshua Rush has already had a role in some of television’s most popular programs. He can be currently be heard voicing the character, “Bunga” in Disney’s “The Lion Guard”. He is a young Hollywood star in the making. Check out my interview with Joshua below.
You have been in a lot of projects at such a young age. How does it feel to have been involved in so many projects?
Honestly? Insane. I feel really lucky and blessed to work on as many things as I do, and it is totally crazy that I get to do so many of them! It is definitely scary at times. I am a kid in an adult world, but I get it done and the end product is amazing!
Are you nervous when going to work on a project?
“If you’re not nervous, something’s wrong” has been one of my mantras for years, and I stick to it today. I do still get nervous, and I doubt I will ever stop being nervous, but the level of nervousness has definitely gone down in recent years.
Do you watch any of your episodes in the cartoons/shows that you have been in? What is it like hearing yourself on television?
I do. It is amazing! Honestly I get lost in just watching the show or film, and I forget it’s me, and then I will hear something that I improvised, or something that reminds me of, well, me—something quintessentially “Josh,” like my laugh, and I get taken out of it and I have a “Holy crap! That’s me!” moment.
Do you prefer voice acting over acting in front of the camera?
I love both of my children equally. No, but in all seriousness, they both have pros and cons, and in the end, they are both super duper fun.
How does your family and friends feel about your acting career and success?
My family and friends have all been really supportive through all of it, between taking me to auditions, comforting me when I do not get a part I really want, and hanging out with me when my shows come on air! My best friend tapes pretty much all of my shows and watches them, even the ones for little kids, so I think that is pretty special.
What’s next for you? What are you currently working on?
I am really focusing pretty hard right now on The Lion Guard, but I do have some other stuff I can not really talk about yet. Maybe check back with me in a few months and I will have some new stuff.
Other than acting, what do you see yourself doing ten years from now?
I want to be a senator. I love the concept of helping our country run (and running it right!) and representing people, and it just seems like it would be such a cool job to have. In the end though, I really do not know. I want to be a Senator, Lawyer, Doctor (Ocular Oncology!) and Actor all at once, but what I am focusing on right now is just being a teen and going to school, doing work with acting, and just generally living my life.
Favorite food?
I have only had it once but I loved it! They are these french fries (thin and crispy) that have truffle oil drizzled on them, parmesan cheese (I’m lactose intolerant but it’s so good that I grin and bear it), and sit on a bed of arugula. They are so yummy!
Favorite color?
Can I go with brown? It is all of the colors mixed together, because I can not ever really pick one. Black goes with everything, clothing-wise. Although I wear a lot of blue. Least favorite is definitely yellow.
Favorite hobby other than acting?
Definitely redditing. I am an avid reader/poster on reddit.com.
Thanks for your time Joshua! Welcome to the Blended family. Best of luck to you! Anything you’d like to say to your fans and supporters?
Just want to say thanks! It is pretty cool to think that I have fans and stuff. It is really strange but also awesome at the same time. Thanks, guys! And do not forget to follow me on Twitter and Instagram. Snapchat coming soon! Check out my Twitter and instagram for news on that!
