Selena Gomez: Breaking Through

Selena Gomez has been in the spotlight lately for a few reasons. For one she reunited with most of her Wizards of Waverly Place cast for a t.v movie, starred in the rated R indie film, Spring Breakers, and her very public relationship with Justin Bieber. Now she is continuing her transition as she is one of the staple acts expected to be performing her currently unheard single “Come And Get It” at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. Selena has said that her breakup allowed her to infuse more creativity into the album due this summer.

Wizards of Waverly Place Series Finale

Before you knew her as Justin Bieber’s girlfriend, Selena Gomez became a household name for starring in the hit Disney series, “Wizards of Waverly Place”. Since 2007 this series has been a staple in Disney’s programming. Tonight, it all comes down to an end. Who will be the family wizard is the question that will be answered.  This was one of the best shows on the Disney Channel due to the personalities of the cast members. Each of them blossomed as each season passed.. In the series finale tonight, will it be Alex(Gomez), will be Justin(Henrie), or will it be the youngest of the family, Max(Austin)? Tune in to the Disney Channel at 8pm EST. I personally believe that someone will make the ultimate sacrifice tonight. Wizards of Waverly Place will teach tonight that family comes first no matter what, and this series will be missed as we move forward.

Demi Lovato leaves SWAC

Demi Lovato at the premiere for Hannah Montana...

Demi Lovato

This is weird for me to speak of Demi Lovato in my first post not dedicated to sports but she has been through turmoils lately. Demi lovato has decided to leave her hit T.V show “Sonny With a Chance” to focus more on her music ambitions and most importantly being away from the Disney scene. Demi (as seen in the picture to the right) was the star and quite frankly best part about the show. SWAC returns for Season 3 in June and lets just say that it will lose ratings. Demi checked into rehab late last year and has dealt with both personal and emotional challenges. Disney is already coming off losing Miley Cyrus and “Hannah Montana” as well as upcoming series finales of Suite Life On Deck and Wizards of Waverly Place. The one thing that all these shows had in common, other than some attractive females, were that the audience felt like they grew up with the characters and the stories. Disney has a big test ahead of them. More to come in the future regarding The Disney Channel.
